Kurohamaguri

Kurohamaguri is a series of black vessels that combines a sense of weight and quietness.

Its name comes from its gentle, shell-like curves and the subtle landscapes of glaze that emerge within the deep black surface.

Each piece is shaped by hand and fired at a high temperature. The flow of the glaze, traces of iron, and variations in sheen created during firing are preserved on the surface of each vessel.

Its appearance changes with the viewing angle and the way light falls across it, revealing a different landscape each time.

Rather than adding unnecessary decoration, the series focuses on the inherent qualities of the material and the expressions created through the firing process.

These vessels are designed to quietly enhance the atmosphere of the table.

Before Purchasing

Meteorite glaze is not used in this series.

Each piece is presented in a paulownia wood box.

As every piece is individually handmade, slight variations in size, shape, and colour will occur.

Variations in glaze tone, traces of iron, and subtle surface details created during firing are part of the individual character of each piece.

The vessels are microwave- and dishwasher-safe. However, hand washing is recommended to preserve their appearance for as long as possible.

Please avoid sudden changes in temperature, as they may cause damage or cracking.

【黒蛤】

黒蛤は、重厚感と静謐さを併せ持つ、黒を基調とした器のシリーズです。

貝殻を思わせるゆるやかな曲線と、深い黒の中に浮かぶ釉薬の景色。その佇まいから、「黒蛤」と名付けられました。一枚ずつ手捻りで成形し、高温で焼き締めた器には、焼成の過程で生まれた釉薬の流れや鉄粉、艶の変化が刻まれており、その表情は、見る角度や光の当たり方によって異なる景色を映し出します。

普段使いでも使えるよう余分な装飾を施さず、素材と焼き物の表情を大切にしました。 食卓の景色をそっと引き立てる器です。

• 隕石は使用しておりません。

• すべての作品は、桐箱に収めてお届けいたします。

• 一点ずつ手作業で制作しているため、サイズ・形状・色味には個体差があります。

• 焼成時に生じる釉薬の濃淡や鉄粉、細かな表情は作品の個性としてお楽しみください。

• 電子レンジ・食洗機のご使用は可能ですが、長く美しい状態でお使いいただくためには手洗いをおすすめします。

• 急激な温度変化は破損の原因となる場合がありますので、お避けください。
